Every college you talk to, they will tell you that your high school transcript is the most important part of your application. The SAT or ACT is definitely secondary.

What do you mean by "good college" There are 2000 colleges in the USA. The top 20 or so are extremely competitive, but the rest are not very competitive. Look at the acceptance rates for lots of the colleges in the top 100 US News rankings and you will find lots of them that accept over 50% of applicants.

If you have an average of 650 or so on your college board tests, and a GPA of 3.5 or so, you can get into any but the most selective schools. You should be thinking about WHICH school is going to fit you better. City or country? Big or small? North, South, East or West? Public or private? There is a lot of info about this at your local library and online. You can check every school you're interested in and see the stats for their last class.... SAT's, rank in class, number admitted... almos every college has this on line.

Why do red states have the lowest crime rates. Texas has the best schools in the nation. Red state last time I checked. Texas also has some of the highest ACT scores, and the best football teams. Just because the Ivy league schools are more expensive doesn't make them better schools. P.S. there is no college in D.C. Those people went to school somewhere else. Any children Living in D.C. that are capable of spelling their name go to private schools OUTSIDE D.C. Or they did until B. Hussein canceled their scholarships. Get a grip on reality. You just admitted Rich Educated People Move to those states. "cause the money is in the big democrat cities." And Crime follows the DRUGS not Money that's why crime is higher in Blue States. AGAIN Texas has more Millionaires and less crime. Everyone of Mr. Briscoes dozens of ranches are worth at least a million. Texas is the ONLY state with a balanced budget, Home prices are about the same ( Down 1%) compared to an average of a 25% loss in blue states. Take an American history class and you can clearly see for the last 200 years people have been leaving the blue states out east and moving to red states here in the west.
