I asked a similar question before and didn't get good answers. What I mean is: the fact that I put a Maple Leafs car flag on my car as soon as the Leafs make the play-offs....it's been a while. But also I like to wear my Leafs nightgown on game night and my son wears a Leafs shirt to school the day after a big win!

As a Boston Red Sox fan I know all to well about being superstitious/quirky, it even carries over to hockey. On days that the stars play I always wear my very thin framed eye glasses over my regular pair, and when I go to a stars game in person I wear the green stars jersey opposed to the white jersey from the early 90s when they first arrived in Dallas. In fact when I go to games I keep track of the W-L-OTL record of who I go with (if its a bad record they won't be going to playoff games) And finally at games I wear my Boston Red Sox cap with the two sox on the back of the cap and when the stars need a big goal I rub the two sox for luck (I do the same thing in baseball when Boston needs a big run). I don't have a playoff plan yet as they are still a few months away and I have learned the best plans are the spontaneous ones.

No, no ritual as the regular season is meaningless and pretty danged boring. In the playoffs, since I live downtown we all go out on our balconies here and scream when the Canucks score. It's pretty cool as the entire downtown core is LOUD during playoff games. Sadly, 2006 there were no playoff games...but bingo, bango, bongo, Roberto Luongo is taking us there in 2007.

All I can say is I support my team win or lose all season long. Whether they make the playoffs or not. I think you should have your leafs flag on your car all year round

during regular season & playoffs i wear my kirk maltby hat on game day. my bf wears his wings jersey until they lose, then he hangs it up inside out and doesn't wear it again til they win. sadly, he hasn't been able to wear it for a while now...:(
