I have had my comet for 3 months now, I bought him as a feeder goldfish at 1.5 in., and he is now a little over 2 in. He was matalic white with an orange sploch on his head, I have noticed that his underbelly is geting a faint yellowish tint.
Otherwise he is very active and seems quite happy.

yea its normal... fish are mostly creatures that hide.. to help this they gradually change their color to match their surroundings for instance the color of your gravel is important and as is the color of the things around the tank...

gravel that is richer and darker in color will help your fish look their best while white or pale gravel will influence them to be pale...

all in all color change is nothing to be feared and usually is not a sign of disease

It is normal for any goldfish to change color. They will change to the color that surrounds them. I had one change from gold to black, and one change to yellow. So yes it is normal.
