I really want to get these CDs, one from Japan and one from China (I can only get them from those countries. Damn!) but I don't know if they'd work in the UK. Does anyone know?

Yes,they will work anywhere. When Philips and Sony developed the CD they set out standards that all manufacturers had to use.You can buy a CD made in any country and it will play in a CD player bought anywhere.
I have a few Cd's made in China(bought in Hong Kong) and they work perfectly in my CD players.

They should, but if they don't play in your stereo, put them in your computer and copy them onto blank CD's.
