I hope so. Normally there is a plot twist that will enable Professor X to return.

Professor X wasn't "banished", he was torn apart molecule by molecule in the home of Jean Grey by Jean (a.k.a. Phoenix). And no, he wasn't alive at the end of the movie, they didn't verify that it was Professor X, but they did strongly hint at it.
HEY EVERYONE - GO WATCH THE MOVIE AGAIN....
For those who answered already, Professor X said near the beginning of the movie something in the way of "What if a body was empty of soul or mind, would it be wrong for someone who had lost their body to take it as their own?" And that's what happened with Professor X - for those who have read the comics, it is known that Professor X can travel on the Astral Plane, so he could easily have escaped to there when his body was destroyed, evading death until he could find a new body to inhabit.
And the effects of the "cure" were just as temporary as the abilities of the mutant the cure came from - IT WEARS OFF OVER TIME - as seen at the end when Magneto began to get his powers back - so a part four is possible....

The cure WAS temporary, so all the mutants will be kick-*** once again. There WILL be a 4th XMen film. I've heard it's called "The New Beginning".
About Prof X, I think he will return...There CAN be NO XMen with no Prof X.

Probably. Why else did they show him ending up in someone else's body in the ending(it was after the credits,in case you missed it)
If u have the DVD,rewind to that part where he was teaching his small class of young mutants, right before he "SENSED" something was wrong and check out that video clip they were shown.
Hope this helps.
Asides from the professor,i pray Gambit will finally be in it.My best friend sent his pictures(red eyes and all,LOL)to Marvel studios yesterday to audition for the role.
