bisexuals don't choose their sexuality any more than gay or straight people do, therefore statements like "make up your mind" are not only erroneous but also totally ignorant.

and plenty of bisexuals are capable of monogamy. damn. there is a lot of ignorance here.

Most of the "bisexual" men I meet are married to women and just looking for something on the side. I think if I met a bisexual man who I thought was well adjusted and capable of a long term monogamous relationship then I would date him.

Being in a gay "non-conventional" relationship has its own set of challenges, and it is important to be on the same page on as many topics as you can in order for it to be successful. I feel that if one is truly gay, and the other is bi, commjnication issues can arise. Although differences between a couple should be expected, respected, and cherished, sexual orientation is way to heavy of a difference to contribute to a successful relationship. If two guys are together, and one is 'bi' and a hot chick walks by...can you picture the conversation? Ultimately the gay guys is not going to agree with the opinion of the 'bi' guy, except to agree that maybe she is a beautiful woman. There is also the fear that the person may 'swing' back the other way. And the 'gross out factor' that your partner was 'doin it' with the other sex. Not to sound un-P.C. - but I've heard the somewhat humorous saying that "Bi is just a stop on the train to Gayville". I'm sure there are plenty of Bi folks that would disagree...but don't bi people usually lean a little more towards one specific sexual preference? Ultimately, it obviously rests with those two people how they chose to live their life and what their opinions on the topic is. It is up to the rest of us to accept people and their lifestyle. If you are against bi/gay relationships...stay out of one...otherwise live and let live.

When I was dating (I'm partnered now) I chose not to date bisexual people because I want monogamy, and I want to feel that I can completely fulfill my partner. I feel that if I was with a bisexual guy, that they'd also be wanting to have a female, and that's not acceptable to me.

I've had bisexual people get upset at that, and I remember some saying to me that they were able to commit to one person, regardless of the fact that they're bisexual. I chose not to take chances.

I understand that most bisexuals are capable of monogamy, but then they date people like me: I'm known to be paranoid, and for me, I'm suspicious of everything and everyone, so if I think my gf's cheating on me, I don't want to be suspicious of her male AND female friends.

I find that bi's are to flaky. I find its an excuse to still hang on to the last shred of their heterosexuality.
