Is there something I can buy to improve my laptop's RAM?
How would I go about installing it, too? If I don't know how, will it be expensive to have it installed?
My laptop has 2.4 Ghz, but 192 MB RAM is all...

go to the manufacture website and look up your laptop's information, it will tell you the maximum RAM your laptop can support, i recommend at least 512 MB

You will need to purchase more RAM, I also would suggest you get a minimum of 1 GB. This can cost anywhere between $99-$150. Most places like best buy, Circuit City, and Staples will charge between $25 and $30 to install this for you.

its super easy to install, and doesn't void your warranty. consult your laptop manual, usually you just need a screwdriver.
