I try not to judge people because everyone is different and has their own ideas. I try to see the good in everybody and try to show my respect for them.

because if we didnt we would have a country full of rapist murderers and more. judging is what everyone does to justify whether a person is nice or not or if they are a threat or not.. i guess in modern society people judge more than ever..
I mean look at it this way i had to use a wheelchair for a while after having problems with muscles in my legs and people would do little Britain impressions at me and thats not funny they thought because i was in a wheelchair i was mentally handicapped and thats wrong...
people judge all the time it can be a good thing or it cannot just depends on the person you are judging i guess

It's our own insecurity. In judging other people, we are setting ourselves above them so that we can feel superior in some way. That is why we so often judge people for things which we know we are guilty of ourselves to some degree. It is an unlovely and unlovable habit and so often we get things wrong. The French have a saying "Tout comprendre est tout pardonner." ("To understand all is to forgive all.") I find that very true.

Survival instinct. One automatically assesses the threat posed by everyone we encounter and the mating potential of opposite sex people. As there is not normally time for detailed studies, we use experience and available facts to categorise people as quickly as possible. This normally amounts to judgement.
