im about to buy a Mercedies c200 esprit...are there any common faults or special things i should look out for?

Safety isn't a question contrary to what someone else said. Reliability of most Benzes has been much worse than average for several years. I'm a fan of the marque, but won't own any of them built in the past 5 years due to reliability issues. Supposedly they're getting their act together; only time will tell.

Mercedes did not score well on safety tests, I would look up consumer reports first and see how people (owners of the car) judge it and look up the safety features to see if it is the right car for you.

high on quality and style including looks and luxury lousy with safety features i would really reconsider it was one of the poorest scored cars with safety.
