One day, I was working in my kitchen and the cat was meowing continuously. I thought that he was hungry for an early meal so I served him his meal on the counter top--out of reach of the dog. Just as he started to eat, he suddenly paused and looked to the side. I also looked to the same side in order to see what he was looking at. To my surprise, I saw SOMETHING floating about a couple feet above the floor. It didn't have a definite shape but was, maybe, two & 1/2 feet by one foot. It was a pale gray and see-through like a very thin veil or nylon cloth. In the blink of an eye, it was gone. The cat immediately resumed eating but I was in awe! What it was is beyond me. Unfortunately, the cat was my only witness and can't collaborate my story. Too bad, huh?

I know this is going to sound strange, but yes, I have seen a ghost, and I don't even believe in ghosts!

We bought a house that was very old, built in 1887, and had been empty for a long time when we moved in.

For the first several months, at night, I would see the silhouette of a man, in a top hat, he looked somewhat like an Abe Lincoln figure. I was never afraid of him and I know he meant no harm.

What is REALLY, REALLY weird is one morning, my husband, over coffee, mentioned he thought he was dreaming last night because he could have sworn he saw a tall man in our room with a hat, he described just what I had been seeing.

Anyhow, we have lived here for 11 years now, and I have not seen him around for about 10 years.

If you asked me, I would tell you I do not believe in ghost; I am pretty sure I would give you that response because I don't know what to believe anymore.

This sounds a lot more like a Halloween story than a Thanksgiving day story.

Happy Turkey Day!

Yes - it was a ghost. A ghost is a memory of an occurrence in a specific place it can manifest in something as innocuous as a chill or an audible sound even an apparition. Ghosts are just an imprint from the past being felt in the present.

I have never seen a ghost, but have seen many unexplained activities and sounds at my brothers house.
You can hear 3 women talking and as you approach the closet, all voices stop.
You can hear the water running upstairs, but the sinks are dry when you get in the bathroom.
Pictures have changed positions on the walls. One they were put back in place, we walked out of the hall and upon returning 5 minutes later, they had changed again.
My glasses we moved from the bedside table to the bathroom.
Stuff like this takes place all the time.
Nothing seems dangerous, but it is unusual never less.

Yep, I like to think I have seen a ghost. My brother was killed in a motorbike crash twenty-odd years ago, and a few months after he died, I saw him sitting on the chair where he always sat, in front of the fire, just for a few seconds. I blinked, and he was gone.

I'd like to have thought he had come back to tell us he was alright, and everything was okay.

Yes, I've seen demons. Carbon black shadows crawling up on walls. Where they real? I don't know anymore. I used to believe in God, Jehovah. But lately I have been loosing my faith in God. The only thing that keeps me from totally loosing my faith in God are those experiences which proofed demons do exist. I guess these Demons where sent by Satan to scare me from studying with the Jehovah's witnesses? It's been a long time ago, and I don't care anymore. Maybe it was all in my head. I am agnostic now.

I won't call it a ghost, but I believe that my deceased father visited me while
I lay in my hospital bed.

The room was dark, but I could see the light from the Nurses station.

My back was turned towards the opened door way, and around mid night, I felt when someone sat down on my bed.

I was not afraid, because of the peace this ""Person"" brought. to me.

I knew it was my Father telling me that everything was going to be alright.

I did recover from my illness.
