Family...friends...we all see them on Thanksgiving. I want to know what has been the most "eventful" or insane Thanksgiving moment you have had! (ie. dad falling on the Thanksgiving table, grandma choking on her stuffing...etc)

When I was around 11 or 12, my aunt volunteered to cook a turkey (her first whole bird) which is not really a Caribbean thing. To make a long story short, she was so proud of showing off the bird, that it took THREE tries to cut it. The second try, my cousin and uncle used a brand new electric knife which it shorted out and made the house lights blink. Then, the hostess brought in a machete (and an army of three) to finally cut the poor thing. My aunt was embarrassed every Thanksgiving for about 4 to 5years after the incident. Now, she's the champ! (And yes, it is a very true story!)

The day after Thanksgiving, several years ago, our dog went through all of our neighbors trash and brought back all the turkey carcasses and lined them up on our front door step. It was kind of cute because he thought he was giving our family a special treat or something.

It happened 4 years ago. I was 26. I was so nervous because I was going to meet my boyfriends family for the first time and eat dinner too. When I got there they seemed so snobby which made me more nervous. There were kids around and I remember they were sitting on the floor because there were no more seats. well I tripped over one of the kids and landed on my *** but what was more embarrassing was that i landed in a plate full of food. the kid was crying too because it was her plate. I swear it was the most embarrassing time. I never got invited back.

IN the middle of the huge turkey feast, my teenaged nephew said he wasn't feeling too good and his stomach hurt. He suddenly stood up, held his stomach and let loose, puking all over the turkey and all over the food on the table. We had to throw away all the food and no one got to finish their meals. Worse than embarassing, very disgusting!!
