Didn't the settlers in the US kill all the indians, and the few that were left were secluded in "Reservations" (Prisons)? Aren't we just kidding ourselves?

You're right. The Indians offered the settlers food and shelter. And what they got in return was things we can't even talk about here. Yes, we are kidding ourselves. And we're supposed to be the "good guys" ?

Just to give thanks to God or life, or whatever you believe in, for all the things you have and stop thinking for at least one day in every thing you lack. To be next to your family or beloved ones, and to celebrate life in general.
Dont be so sarcastic and skeptic, this is one of the most meaningful holidays, dont screw it up trying to link it with a group of savage people who killed Indians, that happened a few centuries ago, please!!!!

My husband is Texan but lives here in the UK with me. He has always refused to celebrate thanksgiving because he said why should he celebrate mass murder.

To remember how spoiled we all truly are. Its human nature to take things for granted so its good to take a day like Thanksgiving to remember how fortunate we are.

The point of Thanksgiving is to give Thanks to everything you are grateful for and give you something to do and look for before Black Friday.
