The swastika is common to many cultures and areas.
Hitler was not mentally complete and viewed the "pure" Aryans as predominantly blue-eyed blondes. He hated Jews, gypsies, homosexuals, blacks, people from India, Asians...

Be sure that Hitler did not care about what is the meaning of the swastika in Indian culture. It also was an old Germanic symbol, that's why he used it.
Hitler himself and many other Nazis had dark hair. They spoke a lot about the blue eyes and blond hair by their propaganda, but in reality they didn't care. There are Jews who are blond and blue eyed, this didn't save them.
I don't think they cared much about Indians. I mean their propaganda was mainly about the countries they were in war with and about the Jews. The center of their ideology was a hierarchy of races with Germans on the top and Jews at the bottom, and Slavs (East Europeans) slightly above the Jews. Blacks were regarded as apes. All countries that Germany was in war with were seen as the "evil enemy". Others were not mentioned explicitely (to my knowledge), but it is quite obvious they hated the majority of mankind.
Anyway I don't really understand what is the point of your question. Do you feel that Hitler was "not so bad" if he didn't hate Indians? He and those who followed him killed six million Jews and started a war that killed 50-60 million people. He started a war against almost all European countries, a war that was the biggest and worst war of history. You should not keep any positive thought in mind about this man. It should not matter to you what he may have thought about you or your people. I mean he lost the war, he is no more a danger for anyone. He should not get the honor that people start to ask if he hated them or not.

Actually the man hated just about everyone according to history. I don't know if we really understand the true story. I think part of him was trying to follow on "the Big Lie" as Plato I believe wrote of. Well in his version the golden people that would be leaders and such were the Pure blooded Germans. The silver class were people who were partly German. I think just about everyone else was left out and his plan was to destroy them. That is what history tells us of him though. I think there may be alot that will never fully be understood.
Oh and an agreement with the first person as some have written to gaming magazines about I beleive it was teh one dungeon in Zelda being shaped like a swastika and question what the logic was. Well what it is, in Asian culture(I'm not sure about the India one) is they have them facing one way where the Nazis had it the other. The Nazis the things face clockwise I think and the Asian culture uses counter-clockwise or it was vice-versa. Either way it was a difference that is somewhat subtle to people who aren't thinking or looking. Take a close look at the one your culture uses and the Nazi one, they may be different.

Hitler actually made plans to preserve the four most ancient Gypsy tribes because he thought they were racially the most pure Aryans. The ones he rounded up were eventually shot dead. He couldn't have hated all people with brown hair and brown eyes because the Army, S.S., and S.A. were full of them. Himmler, Goebbels, Goering, and Rohm didn't have blonde hair. Hitler was the product of incest. His parents were cousins. They had to get a dispensation from an Austrian bishop in order to marry. Hitler also had an affair with his niece. He was an absolute scumbag. Never forget that he was Austrian, not German. Some people believe his father was part Mongolian.

right..first of all Hitler's swastika is not the same as the swastika used in India..look closely..Indians use the 'right'swatika sign..
second...aryans..is not the name of a civilization..it's a term used to describe people whose original home was the steppes of central Asia, from where different 'Aryan' tribes moved away towards north, west and east
one of these tribes came to India and started the vedic culture...some tribes went to western Europe and gave birth to new cultures
third..Hitler associated the word Aryan with race of white skinned people who were supposedly physically and intellectually superior to any other. i don't exactly know what he thought about Indians in particular, but I'm pretty sure that he did not in any way link the Indian 'Aryans' as being related to his German 'Aryans'
and as far as the question of weather he only hated Jews...Hitler was a sadistic, twisted individual..he hated Jews, disabled people, Gypsies, non whites, communists, homosexuals..and I'm sure i', missing a few others
hope that helps..

OK. To make the Nazi ideology palatable to many, you first had to prove that the Germans were pretty much the only civilization worth anything in this world and that everything else derived from it. Of course, we all know this not to be true, so the nazis had to do an awful lot of historical re-writing to make the whole thing believable.
From the moment Hitler came to power, he had so-called scientists sent throughout the worls to measure people's heads, noses, etc. to find proofs of the origins of the nazi vision of history.
Now, we all know that the people we call the InIndo-Europeans invaded Europe from Northeren India at various points in pre-history.
This why, if you hear people speak, let's say. Hindi, or most languages from that part of the world, they sound uncannily similar to European languages and even have strong similarities in terms of vocabulary and grammar.
All the nazis wanted to do was to pretend that the Germans were the only pure descendants of the Indo-Europeans and so started fabricating stories like, for instance that the original people of Northern India were all tall. blond with blue eyes and then fled straight to Germany to escape the invasion of short dark people from the south. This also gave them an excuse for goin to war as a revenge against all short dark people under the banner of their ancestors: the swastika.
If you think that is very confusing and makes no sense at all, it is precisely because it is, indeed confused and really makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Still, in the political and social climate of Germany in the 20's and 30's, lots of people had nothing left to believe in, also, to many, this seemed about as good as anyhting else.
I must apologize for a simplistic explaination of more complex issues, but this is pretty much the way it goes...
I hope this helps,
best,
f.

In 1920, Adolf Hitler decided that the Nazi Party needed its own insignia and flag. For Hitler, the new flag had to be "a symbol of our own struggle" as well as "highly effective as a poster." (Mein Kampf, pg. 495)
On August 7, 1920, at the Salzburg Congress, this flag became the official emblem of the Nazi Party.
In Mein Kampf, Hitler described the Nazis' new flag: "In red we see the social idea of the movement, in white the nationalistic idea, in the swastika the mission of the struggle for the victory of the Aryan man, and, by the same token, the victory of the idea of creative work, which as such always has been and always will be anti-Semitic." (pg. 496-497)
Because of the Nazis' flag, the swastika soon became a symbol of hate, antisemitism, violence, death, and murder.

Well, Hitler hated anyone who was not of the Aryan race so he probably hated those from India, too. He did copy the swatstika but he had no idea it came from Indian religion.
No, I don't think Hitler hated brown haired, brown eyed people because there were some brown haired, brown eyed folks working for him.

As Hitler approached boyhood he attended a monastery school. (On his way to school young Adolf daily observed a stone arch which was carved with the monastery’s coat of arms bearing a swastika.)
Hitler’s anti-Semitism grew out of his Christian education. Austria and Germany were majorly Christian during his time and they held the belief that Jews were an inferior status to Aryan Christians. The Christians blamed the Jews for the killing of Jesus. Jewish hatred did not actually spring from Hitler, it came from the preaching of Catholic priests and Protestant ministers throughout Germany for hundreds of years.

Hitler was a total contridiction. He was half jewish, but hated the jews. He was extremely racist and hated anyone who wasn't of pure Western European decent - although he allied himself with Japan. He used the swastica variation to promote the idea of unity and harmony among the Aryan people. He wanted to create a master race - a pure, unadulterated, group of people who had no handicaps, no undesirable traits, blond hair & blue eyes, strong, attractive and intelligent. He felt that if everyone was the same, it would eliminate problems of racism, individuality and conflict - but the end DOES NOT justify the means and therein lied his biggest flaw.
