Snow is white due to Reflection of Sunlight
The snow absorbs maximum quantity of White light and reflects it back into space

ICE is crystal so it's transparent

but snow is a pile of powdery ice [slightly solidified water]

that's why snow appears to be as white in colour

I guess it's because when ice crystals gather they each have a very faded white to them and when your put them together to form snow they appear white from all the ice crystals put together. I don't really know I'm guessing.

Snow is white so we can play golf with a black ball in the winter and with a white ball on green grass in the summer . This is a secret, no one knows yet. -:)

colour of objects we see is that colour which has a strong presence in the reflected light from that object.

Soild water reflects all the colours hence the mixture is seen as white. Try seein ice in any colured light and the ice will be seen of same colour

Any color is a light reflection. Snow reflects light perfectly so it seems white

it absorbs all the colour (VIBGYOR), that is why it appears white
