Good question. My cycles are anywhere from 22 or 23 days to 29 or 30 days. I don't have a clue when I'm ovulating. In theory I'd guess 11, if you're always exactly at 22 days, but the body isn't always perfect like that.

There is not any strategy to inform centered on the size of your period alone. Most females's cycles may just vary in length, but the luteal phase (the quantity of days between ovulation and the primary day of the interval) is an awfully regular quantity. It's by and large 12-14 days for many fertile ladies. That would imply you may O anywhere from eight days to 10 days after the of your interval (not the tip of it). It is an strangely short interval, so if you have any main issue conceiving, you may need to get a Clearblue Fertility reveal to make certain you might be ovulating, and when. Just right luck!

First thing I would ask is why are you having a 22 day menstrual cycle? Is that normal for you? If it is not - then go to your doctor. For the second question, you ovulate about 2 weeks (following your menstrual cycle)

no, you don't ovulate 11 days after your periods... the only certain thing is (no matter the lenght of the menstrual cycle 22 days or 42) THAT YOU OVULATE 14 DAYS BEFORE THE NEXT PERIOD. in your case, that is 8 days after the first day of bleeding.
Take care and if you have more questions, please ask a doctor's opinion, because this subject is important.

Count day one of your period as the first day of your cycle. I write it in my diary as day one then you know when you get to day 22 your period is due. You will ovulate on day 11 or therabouts, this is not reliable as a contraceptive measure ! Despite what someone above said, 28 days is a 'normal cycle' anything from 20 to 30+ days is okay ! Mine is 25, 22 is fine !

I think it's usually a fixed amount before the next period (rather than after the one before). 12-16 days before, the typical amount, would have you ovulating on days 6-10 of your cycle: but 22 days is rather extreme at the short end, and I imagine there would be a bit of compression so day 10 is probably more likely than day 6.

I believe it is the mid point that you ovulate.

I think it means you need to check with your doctor. I don't believe it is normal for a woman to have almost a month long cycle.
