I'm looking for some new music to listen to. Something rock, with a full orchestra, and maybe even no lyrics.

Something like Trans-Siberian Orchestra ... but without the Christmas music.

I'm really into groups like Evanescense, A Perfect Circle, and thinks like that. Looking for something that fits that style. Very emotional - with or without lyrics, as long as it ROCKS.

Anyone have any suggestions?

BTW ... I love the piano, so the more the better.

To ~*nellie* ,,, I do like Flyleaf, but that's just not at all what I'm looking for now. I'm looking for ORCHESTRA rock ... like Metallica's S&M album, or Evanescene's song "LACRYMOSA" ... but without the lyrics. Just emotional, big, rock music. Thanks anyway. :)

Liquid Tension Experiment, it´s all the members of the prog metal band Dream Theater except the singer. Purely instrumental!

T.S.O.'s Beethoven's Last Night is not a Christmas album, but still has their traditional sound.

Check out Symphony X if you like some of the harder styles (like I do!) http://www.symphonyx.com/ Their site even has free music downloads. Their guitarist, Michael Romeo, is one of the best and also composes all of their orchestral pieces.

Dream Theater is, of course, another option. Although many of their songs lack the orchestral element.

Yes is a classic Progressive Rock band that incorporates a lot of these styles as well, although they're not as heavy as some of the more modern bands.

If you really like the orchestral pieces, try listening to Danny Elfman soundtracks. No, seriously. He's released a couple CD's of his work and I'm sure you can find it online as well. If you've ever watched a Tim Burton movie (beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands), he's the genius behind ALL of the music.

I'm a HUGE Rush fan, but I'll admit that not all of their music fits this exact style. If you've never heard them, however, they are very much worth the time to listen to.

Fire on High is a good instrumental song by Electric Light Orchestra.

The London Symphony Orchestra Plays the Best of Queen is a good one. If you search for London Symphony Orchestra or Royal Philharmonic on Amazon, you'll find a ton of albums like this.

Trans-Siberian has an album called Beethoven's Last Night, which is not xmas music.
