Saying you love someone as a friend is just like how you would tell a family member you love them, you care about them so you love them. So if your "friend" says he loves you , it could be he just cares about you as a friend and wants you to know he loves you as a person, not anything else. Or on some rare occasions, friends fall for each other so maybe he is IN love with you but all he can say is he LOVES you. This may not be the case though. He might just care about you so much that he loves you like a sister/brother .Nothing bad with that :) Its good to be loved.

Love is a deep feeling that two people share same feeling - different meanings. It all depends on how you think you love some one. I love my family, friends and my boyfriend. My friends and family i love in the same way but with my boyfriend it means something a little different like "I really need you in my life". It depends on how you look at it

nothing better than having friends tell you that they love you. It is usually reasuring to know that they are a true friend. and that you have a deep connection with them.
Having a friendship where you love them like family is different than loving a spouse.
you are very lucky to have friends that love you as there are many people in this crazy world that never get to experience this.

i know what you are talking about. my best friend and i we tell each other we love each other all the time. like if me and him are playing around and i hit him on purpose i will say that i love him and give him a really big hug. and vice versa. but when someone in a relationship says that they love someone they mean it like i wanna spend the rest of my life with you. i wanna have a serious relationship that will last for as long as time will carry it. when you say you love your best friend you could mean that you love them like a brother or sister. if your best friend is telling you that he loves you then you can try asking him what he means. like which love is he talking about. if he says that he only loves you as friends then its just a simple i love u like a sister love but if he looks deep into your eyes and says i love you with compassion then that must mean bhe might want more out of your friendship. so you can ask him what he means./ because you dont want to jump to conclusions and say that he loves you like that and then get caught up over him. because he might stop you dead in your tracks and say that he only loves you as a friend and then completely hurt your feelings. so yea. just ask him and talk to him. see what he says and then maybe you will understand better what he means. good luck with it.

i say i love you to my friends all of the time, even the girl ones... there isn't really a difference unless it means something in each persons heart as a relationship with friends it;s just showing appreciation like "i love you!!" a friend would say really happy and fun just because you're his or her friend... but if it really means something and the mood is right and they say i love you... then thats probably showing that they really really love you in the deep relationship way... i hope this makes some sense haha... ^^

All of those relationships which you dis-comprise are what could instruct you the adjustments between loving somebody and being in love with them. people of opposite genders are beside the point given which you would be in a same intercourse relationship the place the entire love/be in love question could persist with. once you're in a relationship with somebody and thoughts of affection start to enhance, that's a distinctive feeling than once you notice you're in love with them. that's why you may love your maximum suitable chum yet not be in love with them. Being in love is what instruments your relationship aside from only the different. it relatively is conceivable to enhance out of being in love- you not think of or experience approximately them a similar way. that would not exchange the guy, only the way you experience approximately them. I thoroughly understand your thoughts in direction of your spouse. i admire and am in love with my husband yet i be attentive to the version and be attentive to which you would be able to have love without being in love yet not any different way around.

when i say "i love you" to a friend, i mean "i love the way u worry when i'm not out with u guys, i love it when we laugh together at the silliest little things we do, i love hangin out with u, i love ur company, i love it when u wipe away my tears when my boyfriend and i have misunderstandings, i love it when u make me laugh, i love it when u tell me secrets, i love it when u keep my secrets................."
but when between a spouse, i mean "i love the way u stare at me even when i'd just woken up, i love it when u smile jez because u saw my face, i love it when u tell me that i'm the most beautiful person in the world (next to angelina jolie, lol), i love it when u think i'm sexy even after gaining 10lbs, i love it when u hug me tight, i love ur tender kisses, i love waking up in the morning and seeing u lying beside me in the bed and i'd love to spend the rest of my life with u.............."

Well, for friends, it just means "I love you as a friend and I care for you."
In a relationship, it means "I have really deep feelings for you and I would die for you."
