its just a tradition...ppl have been eating turkey on thanksgiving for years and years!! and meat is good for u. humans need meat. we've been eating meat since we were "cavemen." pretty much all other animals eat meat, and if u were desperate for food i bet u would too! and thanksgiving isnt about the turkey, its about whats inside! no im jk, but its about giving thanks for all that we have, whether its a little or a lot.

That's like saying what kind of world is this for killing pigs, cows, turkeys, and others for no fault of it. Newsflash, meat is good for us. All humans need meat.

People who cook the turkey don't kill the turkey unless they're country folk that raise their own bird,or hunted one before today.

if they bought it from the store then they didn't kill it.

I don't see why anyone has to kill an animal just to fill their stomach's but people do it,there are lot of things that people do that don't make sense but they still do it anyway, and killing animals is one of them....

Hey, we're omnivores. The turkey isn't "innocent" or "guilty" - it's a friggin *bird* and we eat it cos we can.
