Go to Dell, find the laptop that you like and ring them up, saying you've found a laptop with the same specification but for less from Acer. Then say you don't want to buy from Acer because you've heard Dell's technical support/after-sales support is far superior (which it is) and they should offer you a bit of a discount/throw in some freebies. But Dell are the main and best provider.

Depend's where you live but i am in Glasgow working off a lap top and I got it from PC World and it £399 and the insurance is optional but i reccomend it you pay monthly and is £7.99.
It 's far better than my old bulky computer, that took up to much space and has wire less so I dont have to put up with hubby's footy.
(packard bell, easy note.)

If you don't fancy that one, you can try dell, where you basically make your own price up. Look out for their special offers in daily newspapers (usually in the sun or the star). You can get a really decent system for as little as £300-ish with the newspaper offers! They're in there most days.
Hope that helps!

Whichever fits your needs best. You can always try Dell, they are oftentimes the cheapest, or go to Newegg.com and search there.
