None of that matters once you mention HYGENE!!!!!! Women not being burned at stakes!!!! The Catholic church not having supreme rule. Murder not being a sport.

The fact that we are pretty much able to get anything we want, when we want, from anywhere in the world is the reason that the 21st century is better than the 11th. The global systems of production and distribution have brought the entire world together. The variety and availability of the global experience has been unrivaled in history.

And there is no plague. We don't have the plague.

Not better just different. Wasn't around in the 11th Century, but I could only guess life was simplier, and death was no big deal since folks then appeared to be more consumed by religion and faith.
