My family forces me to go to church, even though I hate going. Can I refuse to go or sue them for forcing me to accept religion? Is this against what the constituition says, therefore its unconsttuitional?

The Constitution says the federal government can't force you to go. It doesn't say your parents can't force you to go.

I think suing them would be expensive on your behalf. No lawyer would represent you for free. You could pay a lawyer and become immancipated- but you have to be able to support yourself and earn enough money to provide a roof over your head, medical insurance and schooling. And if you became immancipated- I bet your parents wouldnt let you live at home. So then you could stay home from church.
I bet your parent think they are doing whats best for you. I bet they like knowing where you are and feel secure in knowing you arnt in a gang, robbing people, doing/selling drugs or having sex.
Hey, I am against forcing kids into church- but parents that do just want to save thier kids from the evils in the world.

Your constitutional rights kick in at either 18 years old, or sooner if you are declared an emancipated minor. If you are underage, and live at home, then you only have the right to listen to your parents, as long as they are neither neglecting nor abusing you.

I was an altar boy until at 14 I clearly convinced my mother that I believed in no deity especially in an institutionalized, sanitzied and greedy corporate settings of "organized" religion.

Your own beliefs are different. Try to be honest with your guardians, and see where that leads.

You can't sue them unless you're 18.
But I do think that forcing you to go to the church is a bad idea.
They should give you the chance to choose about these kinds of stuff.
They're not listening to you, why should you?
You can't sue but you can refuse, it's your choice.

As many here you failed to reveal your age. If you are a minor, you are to obey your parents, but I would think if you went to the pastor and told him in private how you feel, he would speak with you and your parents together, or them alone and the embarrassment may get them to leave you at home. Sometimes when we hurt our elders, we only end up hurting ourselves. Often when young our viewpoints are more rebellious. Then we get older and the more clearer things become. It's your choice how to react. Look at church attendance as a learning experience, then as you are of legal age do as you want.

family togetherness is "bonding" even if it is going to church. but maybe, chosing a religion will depend in the age just like chosing a citizenship. maybe, when you are 18 years old, you can already
gauge to what sect you want to be. every individual has the right
to a religion that he thinks fits him/her.

this really depends on how old you are. I am sure they are just trying to show you how they would like you to live if you dont believe in it just sit and dose off its only a couple hours a week. i apologize for the way that must make you feel it has to be confusing

Until you are 18 you are under the care and CONTROL of your parents. That means they can make you go anywhere they want to.
After you turn 18 you can stop going to church, and they can stop allowing you to live in their house.

That seems fair, doesn't it?
