Basically, a web address consist of www.webaddress.com. Whenever you encounter an url without the "www", it's basically the same address.

To make things clearer, some web hosting doesn't support this feature. Let say your web site is hosted with this kind of host, you may not upload the page unless you type the whole address correctly.

Example: Try to type www.directpins.com in the address bar. It will direct you to the desired page. Now, try to type only directpins.com, the same page appears.
