No, just phenomenally ignorant.
According to the Democrat version, our troops apparently spend all their time in Iraq planning and conducting rapes and murders, and driving up and down the road so they can be ambushed.
If I thought that were true, I'd agree that we need to bring them all home now, but it doesn't take much effort to drive to your local National Guard unit to find someone who has been there to look you in the eye and tell you the truth.
This apparently doesn't occur to most reporters and Democrats.

Thank God for our freedom and free speech. But there is a fine line between expressing a valid opinion and Un-patriotic traitorous statements. What makes this country great is our ability to have an opinion and use it to change things if need be. But, adding those thoughts to angry, hate filled sentiments will not aid in repairing the problems but only cause more angry hate filled sentiments from the opposing viewpoints side. Then any chance to fix things will be either delayed or completely wiped out.
So I guess I would say the criticism and opinion of the war being unacceptable is good, but the hate filled angry statements not only close the possibilities of change but also damage ones credibility and reputation.

Democrats as a whole do not criticize the conduct of the war in Iraq. What is unpatriotic is the way the current administration is allowing big CEO's and other corporate leaders to let our jobs be shipped overseas and allowing foreign made goods to overrun the United States. We need jobs created in this country, not sent out of the country. What we need is a change in the top leaders in the government, those who look out for the people who live in this country, and not worry about their own bank accounts and stock investments.

If these politicians had been around during World War II and made these kinds of public statements they would have been tried for treason and possible executed. Being critical of how a war is conducted is not unpatriotic but making outrageous statements to the media is not good policy. Many of the statements made in recent months have no basis in fact but are only opinions. These opinions can and do give comfort to the enemy. I believe the words on Nancy Polosi, Ted Kennedy and John Kerry have been as harmful to our country as Jane Fonda was during the Viet Nam era.

Actually some may be more patriotic than those who blindly agree with everything our government tells us. By critsizing the actions of those in power they show that they care. A unpatriotic person wouldn't care. Patriotism is not loyalty to those in power but loyalty to our country and its' Constitution. Accusing someone or some group of being unpatriotic for not agreeing is poor form. It's like little kids calling each other names.

No, not for that alone. The elected officials should be very careful to the wording of their criticisms and maybe some suggestions on how to improve the conduct. This is not to say GET OUR TROOPS OUT ASAP. They should NOT point out any positives on the side of our enemies but only THEIR inhuman conduct of the war.

Democrats need a plan. It is ok to criticize when you have a plan. I have a plan. Teach Americans the languages of their enemies. Teach them to trade their thoughts with these people and give these people the necessary tools to communicate with Americans. Gradually shift away from the weapons minded solutions after governments are established, mixing in the communications from non eternal damnation worshipping, civic minded folks. Religion is the tool of the brainless teaching the brainless when it comes to worrying about death, because death is certain and what happens at death is not, so it can be plageurized to death and this is what creates a terrorist when they dont have anything else to place their faith in or when combined with someone giving them the power of a weapon mixed with the eternal damnation doctrine.

I do not think they are unpatriotic for that reason but the liberal wing of the Dems is necessarily unpatriotic because of their world view.

No. It is unpatriotic to not support the troops. It is patriotic to question the government.

No, it is not. You have heard the saying. ''My country, right or wrong''? I think people misunderstand what this means. It means it is always my country-no matter what. I will support the rights of it, and work to change the wrongs of it. They are trying to change the wrongs of the last 6 years.
