I don't think Neville is a clear enough thinker to make that decision, because he's not that great a captain and gets too wrapped up in the game to make the decisions that count in a game. A good captain has to rise above the hurly-burly of a big game and make objective decisions. Neville failed to do that in this case.

'cos much as I love gary neville he shouldn't be United captain. I say Giggs for now and then in a couple of years give it to Rooney. The responsibility will round off the corners. and elevate him to his rightful place as one of the true greats. Gary's great. but you need a forceful captain that's why Keano was the best.

Neville is not a natural leader or captain for Man Utd. In other words, take no account of what he say. it is just a load of bullshit for the media and pushing the blame to others... in any case, a good captain would not blame his team mates...

simple he is not the manager....blame fergie....and so saha is the 'in form' striker....prob only giggs scholes or ronaldo would have scored
