I usually do it with a hairdryer or by putting basins of boiling water in the freezer. I have thought of using a defroster that is suitable for car windows but not sure of what is in it. Might be poison.

Hair dryer work's and i put my little electic heater with a fan in front of it,leave doors open and forget for awhile then wipe out water.The drain hose on bottom i put in a pail.This is a up right type freezer.My frezer in frig is frost free.

I also use a hair drier. Takes only a portion of the time doing it this way. (Is 'portion' the right word? It doesn't look right. But you get my drift).
