Sebastien Veron,Ariel Ortega, Kleberson and Carlos Alberto. These were all BRILLIANT at a time and are now forgotten. Others that come to mind are Velaron, Denilson, Kirkland, Aimar, D'allesandro, Figuroa, and ofcourse the greatest wonder player, Riquelme, who seems forgotten this season.

BIG John Charles. The gentle giant. The only player I know that would have got into any side in the World at centre half or centre forward. If he had been Engish he would certainly have been given a knighthood. The Italians say he was one of the best ever to play in Italian football.

The first name that jumped into my mind upon reading this was ex-Porto's Brazilian Carlos Alberto. What happened to him I wonder?

Also a miracle player that is somewhat forgotten is Ariel Ortega.Even if he has a lot of personal-pshychological problems and is not at the best shape to play, when he does he is stunning.

Besides all those mentioned, and going back a bit, someone I think that isn't given enough credit was Emlyn Hughes, who tragically lost his life to brain cancer. 60 plus caps for England and captained the side I think 23 or 24 times. Great player who could play anywhere. Fast, clever and dedicated. Very successful and gave Liverpool great memories and success.
