x - 6 - 3(x - 8) > 0 --- Firstly, multiply the -3 by the x - 8
x - 6 -3x + 24 > 0 --- Combine like terms...
-2x + 18 > 0 --- Subtract 18 from both sides...
-2x > -18 --- Divide both sides by -2 (flip the sign)...
x < 9
Check: Pick a number less than 9, I will use 0, and put zero in for x in the original equation.
(0) - 6 - 3(0 - 8) > 0
0 - 6 - 0 + 24 > 0
18 > 0 --- It checks out.

x - 6 - 3(x - 8) > 0
x - 6 - 3x + 24 > 0
- 2x + 18 > 0
- 2x + 18 - 18 > 0 - 18
- 2x > - 18
- 2x/- 2 < - 18 /- 2
x < 9
The answer is x < 9
Insert the x value into the equation
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
x - 6 - 3(x - 8) > 0
9 - 6 - 3(9 - 8) > 0
9 - 6 - 3(1) > 0
9 - 6 - 3 > 0
9 - 9 > 0
0 > 0

x-6-3x+24>0 (we got posetive 24 b/c negative times negative equals posetive)
=x-3x-6+24>0
=-2x-30>0
=-2x-30+30>0+30
=-2x>30
=-2x/-2>30/-2
=x<-15 (we change the sign when we divide by negative)
the answer is all rational numbers less thatn -15. since we have no domain we take T.S(TRUE SET)= {...-20,-19,-18,-17,-16}

Always use PEMDAS "Please Excuse My Dear Aunt Sally"...which translated is Parenthesis Exponent Multiple Divide Add Subtract to solve algebraic equations. so work out the (x-8) and then work from there but the end result is x>9
