In some ways it is, but we all have to eat somehow. If noone killed turkeys then we would have an over populated amout of turkeys running around and that would be bad.
I love turkey on thanksgiving, I have been eating it ever since I was a little kid. It's all about a food chain, you could say where the bigger fish eats the smaller fish.

I'm pretty sure slaughtering turkeys ended during the Medieval Age. They now put turkeys into a room with low lighting and play soft soothing music.
A waiter comes around to ask them what they would like to eat and drink.
After they have feasted and drank they engage in a turkey orgy, visit the vomitorium to hock up that excess food and are mercifully overdosed on the drug of their choice.

to feed 100million human beings? very humane in the event that they have been our pets we'dbe breeding and eating dogs. in the event that they have been human beings we wouldnt be raising them in pens on farms. Why do human beings experience its o.k. to slaughter turkeys/cows yet no longer the failings that we 'think of' is greater human-like -- on account that's. have you ever appeared ta cow? fairly? any animal that no longer basically can yet does stick its tongue into its nostril merits to be hamburger. Your doing it a desire so it does not could look at itself interior the water trough each and every morning. comparing human beings to Nazi's is basically ill. If animals weren't meant to be eaten.... why are they made up of MEAT?!?

Yes I do and I will not be eating any. To raise an animal just to torture and kill it for food seams very barbaric. But if it was healthy it wouldn't be so bad but the way that animals are raised putting them full of penicillin and hormones isn't healthy for us either.
