tums. ice water helps. DONT LAY DOWN FOR 1 HOUR AFTER EATING.

Eat smaller meals, 6-7 mini-meals a day is ideal.

Its normal because the baby is pushing your stomach into your rib cage, theres just not enough room for a plate of food AND the baby.

Avoid acidy foods, like citris, and spicey things.

Dont eat before bed, atleast a couple hours before bed. Its hard to do, if you do have to eat something, eat something dairy. It nutralizes the acid.

I have had this problem with all my pregnancies(3).Sometimes so bad that i end up having so much acid that i throw up. It is safe to take Tums or Rolaids. But i find that after a while you start to become imune to them and they no longer work. So now i take Zantac, its safe for you and the baby and is sold over the counter. Take one tablet daily, it works great.

Most doctors recommend tums, be sure not to take more than what the label says for pregnant women. Tums work great trust me!

Calcium carbonate(aka Tums) will treat the symptoms.

But taking papaya enzyme is supposed to prevent the problem.

If I were a female, I would eat my favorite fruit to neutralize the acid that causes heart burn.
