The good days was Jordan and the Bulls, Shaq and the Magic, Reggie and the Pacers, Malone and Stockton. Even the Larry Bird & Magic Johnson era was great. But after Kobe, Iverson and everything the NBA is nothin more then a gang war. Bunch of guys thinkin the are thugs is all it seems like. When AND 1 came out they should've rewrote some NBA rules. Just play the game... anyone agree, or has everyone bought into the shorts down to the ankles???

In response to some answers...
Iverson was involved in a shoot out at a night club. I just think you should either rap or play ball. NOT both.

As for living in the past, i'm only 22 years old, and I am smart enough to see that the NBA has LOST business and fans because they are trying to stay with what's trendy instead of marketing good basketball.

And also YES, Reggie could make the Knicks fans cry, and he will always be my fav player. Remember "fav" not "the best"

No one will ever fill the socks... let alone the shoes of Michael Jordan. He is a god

Yeah I do.
The good old days were when the kids went to college -- NCAA's March Madness was thrilling when there was talent in the college game and the players learned fundamentals before going pro.

While I'll agree that the idea of "college athlete" is a sham, the heyday was when good players played at least three years if not four. Magic at Michigan, Walton at UCLA, Jordan at North Carolina ... geez, I can still remember watching James Worthy play in college, it was a treat.

Then the draft for the NBA was less of a crap shoot and a hope for fulfilled talent, the newer players were better known and it took less time to mature.

Reflecting on your question, I have to agree that I do miss the "good old days" wherein Bird, Magic, and Michael were king. Manute Bol would take three's, Rodman wasn't as eccentric, Mark Price would never miss, Reggie Miller would make Knicks fans cry, Chris Mullin's stroke was sweet, etc.

Now, its a new brand of basketball, more precise and scientific.

Hope this helps.

I do. Today, (and MJ has said this himself) players just want to be superstars and not winners. They are more selfish and big-headed, instead of being team players and trying to set a good example. Another thing is that the players are coming into the league at such young ages. That accounts for some of the child-like attitudes they have.
