I have used Estrostep Fe faithfully for 2 years. If my partner ejaculates inside me during intercourse, will the birth control prevent me from becoming pregnant (during the "active pills")?

Birth control works through your whole cycle, the placebo pills, or off times that you're not taking the hormone, are designed to work with the weeks that you are. Just because you're taking the placebo DOESNT mean you're ovulating.

The purpose of birth control is to prevent pregnancy from ejactulation.

Hormones birth control pills are only 98% effective when used perfectly, taken every day theyre supposed to be taken, the placebo pills just keep you in the habit of taking something, and taken at the same time every day. But by usage theyre only 92% effective. Studies prove that 1 in 100 women who taket he pill for a year will become pregnant.

But its designed to keep you from getting pregnant ANY DAY of your cycle. Including the placebo days, or when you're on your period, or supposed to be.

yes you have a 1 to 5 % chance with any birth control. remember the best bet is to not have sex.

if you are worried double up. use your Estrostep Fe along with a condom. or an IUD. Read up on the rhythm method.
