I remember a Simpson's Christmas episode that i thought really said something about the American way of life! The episode were Homer gets no Christmas bonus so he has to go to the dog track to try to win Christmas money for his family. He bets on `Santa`s little helper`` who proceeds to loose the race and all Homers money. Homer is devastated until he sees the dog being kicked out of the race track to the street. Homer takes him home as his only gift to his family.....and they loved the dog and had a great Christmas. As Americas we can all get caught up in rent, bills money,,,but deep down,,,we are a great society that does understand what life is really about..Americans rule! Since you said ``BLOKE`` I figure you must be from England and i won`t be getting the best answer! lol

I got tired of the Simpsons as early as 1999 or 2000. Personally, I didn't really like how the focus shifted from Bart to Homer.

The Simpson's really is aimed at the adult audience and really not for children, they first featured on the Tracy Alman show in the late 80's early 90's.
But I think it's a fantasic cartoon very cleaver with very good jokes, the are jokes in there for both children and adults,..it's funny when I watch it with my neice and nephew they wonder why I'm laughing at a joke aimed at the adults. they both look very puzzled.

God how much do I love The Simpsons? I've been watching it since I was 10 (i'm 26 now) and it's just the best programme EVER!!! It's so witty and funny, possibly the best thing to have come out of the US.

Son,you don't have to love your job.You just go in everyday and do it really half assed.THAT's the American way!
Bart-Working is for chumps!

yeah it is a cool programme. I watch it practically every night with my girlfriend. My favourite character is Bart and my favourite episode is the "Mary Poppins" one. You know which one I mean.

i love it too and those that say its for kids are stupid as half the subtle jokes children wouldn't get!!
my daughter is two and sits staring at it, i think she perfers it to children's shows!
it is brilliant!
