Oh yea! Florida residents get better deals than anyone when it comes to Disney World. My wife and I purchased season passes for ourselves and our two boys in 2005. We live near Pensacola in the Florida panhandle and by purchasing the passes as Florida residents, we saved over $400.

Disney from time to time will run specials for Florida residents. They usually do this in the off season, and it is usually for a multi day pass, not for annual passes.
If you decide to get annual passes, you will from time to time get specail deals on Disney hotels.
We just stayed at the carribean beach for 100.00 per night & it was great.
Go to their website to see all the current deals.
Enjoy!

You can get a Residnets discount anytime im pretty sure all you have to do is show your FL. ID

Yes, I am a Floridian, and I have taken advantage of their offers on several occasions.
Usually, it is for multi-day passes, but keep your eyes open for other specials. For instance, they usually give discounted rates for their on-property resorts as well.
Check out waltdisneyworld.com. Click on Florida Residents, and see for yourself.

I highly doubt it
Celebration (A town that's part of disney) residents don't get any special deals, so i doubt that the entire state of florida will, too
