Suprisingly, a new born baby has more that an adult.. see the quote...

At birth the body has about 350 bones, but by the time adulthood rolls around, some of our bones have fused together to give us a total of 206 bones in our body...

we are born with 300 bones, but adults have 206.
Some of the 300 original bones in a baby are made of regular bone and some are made of a material called cartilage. Cartilage is soft and flexible to start, but over the years the cartilage grows and slowly hardens into bone. Also, some bones fuse together

A newborn baby starts off with 350 bones in their body. By the time you become an adult, you will only have around 206 bones. This is because, as you grow, some of the bones join together to form one bone.

An adult has 206 bones, but new born he has these bones more: Sacred vertebrae (4 or 5), that are fusion in the adult to form the sacred one. Coxigea vertebra (from 3 to 5), that they megre in the adult to form coxes. Ilion, isquion and pubis, that merges in the adult to form pelvis. A baby has between 216 and 219 bones.

I was told it was around 200 to 300 small bones and as the child grows the bones join together, that's why the calcium is so important to growing kids.

More than an adult does, because some of them fuse together... such as the plates of the skull. Google it.

I keep checking in on this for new answers because it cracks me up that people didnt know babies have more bones... lol. Its like the first thing they teach you in science class.... or atleast it was when i was in school.... lol.
