Ask your local motorcycle dealer - they usually have contacts as it's in their interest to encourage new riders.

At 17 you can take the Restricted course, Which is around a 5 day course spread over days you are free. The first day will be the CBT, Then you go off in your own time to do the motorbike theory test. then you go back to the training school for another 2 of days of training, then on the 4th day you have the module 1 practical test. then 5th day you have the module 2 practical test. once you pass you can ride any bike like a 600cc. But it has to restricted to 33bhp. Good luck

Good for you. I think you should get in touch with your local county council, because very often they run courses sometimes with the police, sometimes with the road safety officer. I am sure you will find that they are free or cost very little. Good Luck to you.
