My choice is "A Day in the Life" from the Sargeant Peppers album. No matter how many times I listen to it, it still grabs me and won't let go. Even the Beatles considered it to be the best song they ever did. The song just seems to perfectly capture the emptiness and loneliness of today's society, as well as the hypocrisy, and our need to escape from reality in order to survive.

Hey Jude!

Read or listen to the lyrics.

Hey jude, dont make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

Hey jude, dont be afraid.
You were made to go out and get her.
The minute you let her under your skin,
Then you begin to make it better.

And anytime you feel the pain, hey jude, refrain,
Dont carry the world upon your shoulders.
For well you know that its a fool who plays it cool
By making his world a little colder.

Hey jude, dont let me down.
You have found her, now go and get her.
Remember to let her into your heart,
Then you can start to make it better.

So let it out and let it in, hey jude, begin,
Youre waiting for someone to perform with.
And dont you know that its just you, hey jude, youll do,
The movement you need is on your shoulder.

Hey jude, dont make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better.
Remember to let her under your skin,
Then youll begin to make it
Better better better better better better, oh.

Well that's my choice, make it better with love.

No the Beatles thought "Hey Jude" was one of the best. But that being aside.

What your emotions are is what makes "A Day in the Life" lyrics sound so good to you. It's a sad song.

The world is what it is. If any change is to be made we/you/me/anyone has to change the way they see the world. You are feeling lonely and with that comes emptiness and all the negative emotions with it.

Yes the world (the people) is very far from perfect. So we each have to make our own world and we do this with how we think. Sure there's hypocrisy and many other terrible things.

If we all did our part to make the world a better place, that would help.

One thing I can tell you for sure "you can't escape from reality" it doesn't work that way.

You want to survive in this world? Search until you find it... Love!

It could be the next person you meet! It could be tomorrow, next year. But the goal is to find Love!

Love is what it is all about.

I can guarantee you do not have someone special you love, if you did what you said and this song "A Day in the Life" would not have the same meaning. And you would not feel the way you do.

A CD to check out is 'The Moody Blues, On The Threshold Of A Dream' just after the Beatles. And if you listen to that CD it will tell you how I was feeling at that time in my life.

But don't ever give up on life... things are always changing and you might just Love the next change.

Check the lyrics out below of "A Day In The Life" and tell me which of the songs would make you feel better. Or which gives you Hope?

Ask others which song would make them feel the Best?

I read the news today oh, boy
About a lucky man who made the grade
And though the news was rather sad
Well, i just had to laugh
I saw the photograph
He blew his mind out in a car
He didn't notice that the lights had changed
A crowd of people stood and stared
They'd seen his face before
Nobody was really sure if he was from the house of lords

I saw a film today oh, boy
The english army had just won the war
A crowd of people turned away
But i just had to look
Having read the book
I love to turn you on.

Woke up, got out of bed
Dragged a comb across my head
Found my way downstairs and drank a cup
And looking up, i noticed i was late
Found my coat and grabbed my hat
Made the bus in seconds flat
Found my way upstairs and had a smoke
Somebody spoke and i went into a dream
Ah

I read the news today oh, boy
Four thousand holes in blackburn, lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the albert hall
I'd love to turn you on

Let It Be. That song really does something to me. Even when things are falling apart I can take comfort. I also like Instant Karma ( I know it's just Lennon, but it was playing when my son was born).

Sounds like a tough life!

I like "Hey Jude". It says to me, "Life can be tough, but you can still make it a better place".
