I am learning to play the violin and I have a few questions.

What is a good, cheap violin to start with? I know that I will probably get a used one because I dont want to spend more than $70

Where can I get a violin?? Please try to provide links!

What is a good book to learn to play a violin?

Sometimes you can but one on eBay.com. I bought one there. I've also seen nice ones at pawn shops. You could put an add in the paper advertising that you need one and tell how much you would be willing to spend on one.
I actually have a 3/4 size one I would sell. But I don't know what size you need.

it is never too late to start learning something new. if you keep exercising your brain there will be less chance that you develop dementia. good luck it is a beutiful instrument, sometimes i wish i learnt further and more stuff to play instead of just the basics
