I AM better off being alone. Until things change in my life, that is the way I prefer it to stay. Not cynical, just the plain truth.

Well, Blue, I knew I was better off alone when I was 13! I don't mind being in the company of others, but so many problems follow afterwards-- worries, backstabbing, crap like that that I can deal without.
I like myself, the internet, books, and music. Plus my family occasionally, I am better off being that way. It saves a lot of trouble!
And I was cynical before I even knew what it meant... haha... :-)

There are times I wish I could be truly alone. I came from a large family and Mama and I have four of our own along with our household petting zoo.
I have asked for the gift of solitude on many occasions, but they ignore me and end up taking me out to dinner. A better gift would be for them to go out so I have a few hours to myself.

I crave solitude sometimes to write, read and get my head back on straight, but I prefer to have just one or two special people in my life..
My uncle once told me that at the end of your life if you even have one special friend you are very lucky.. Two genuiune friends and you are rich beyond belief..

Well, I do prefer solitude. I rejuvenate when I'm alone. I suppose some people are just like that.
But, I do get the feeling that you feel rejuvenated around others. My husband is like that too.
Cheers.

Damn, you are so cynical.... lol
Of course I do. In the end though that's probably not the case. So many different people can bring me so many different things... I'll just dismiss most of them :-)

No, I feel blessed to have my family and friends. God puts people in our paths for a reason. Even the bad ones.

less hassles, that's for sure. Ultimately though, I think giving everything to one special person is worth the sacrifice.
