I am a native of Kansas though I no longer live there and I don't know how long you have lived in the state but believe me it will snow in Kansas. You have already had snow in your neighboring state of Colorado and many of the western states as well as around the Great Lakes. Even here in North Carolina we had flurries on Monday. So step back from the computer and check the weather channel and you will see that there has been plenty of snow already this year. Remember Winter does not officially start for another 28 days.

I live in California. We had some rain and snow in the higher elevations last night. Today is clear and currently 56 degrees. I don't believe in global warming. I think we're just having a mild fall. I've seen years that everyone worried about drought, and then it pours and there are blizzards in the Spring. It's not winter yet. The cold weather may still arrive later on.

It's snowed a bit in South Dakota. Minnesota got a lot of snow last week. This week, it has been warm in South Dakota - 60's.

Global warming happens when gases get stuck in the atmosphere. These layer of gases prevent heat from escaping into space. The heat is reflected back to the earth. Picture a greenhouse surrounding the earth. That's why they call them "greenhouse gases."

Your neighbor, Iowa, just got a bunch of snow. But of course now the news says it's "balmy" for T-day. So I assume the snow is gone now...for a while.

But I do agree, the weather has been getting wackier the last 10 years.

I was in Buena Vista, Colorado this summer. Believe it or not - they got snow on the mountains (the Collegiate Range - Mt. Harvard, Mt. Princeton, etc.) on August 27th!!

Many of the ski areas in Colorado opened the first week in November. Buffalo had 2 feet in October!

Have a happy Thanksgiving.

Here in south central Nebraska we got some snow a few weeks ago, most of it melted when it hit the ground. It's turkey day, and it will be in the low 60's.

Well I heard on the national news that it snowed in Orlando Florida yesterday, it did not leave enough to measure, but the offical weather service says it did snow.
