More appropriate would be,how do we as a society lift people from poverty to middle class?Encourage education, discourage premarital pregnancy, fatherless families and divorce and drug and alcohol use.Remember Andy Grove George Soros John D. Rockefeller Andrew Carnegie,Henry Ford ,Bill Gates Bill Clinton Henry Kissinger Jesse Jackson and Steve Jobs and Warren Buffett were not born into affluence.

I think some people are so detached they're not aware of this strange phenomenon.

There are people who work every day 8-10-12 hours a day sometimes 7 days a week and they're way below the poverty level. If they get sick just one day their whole world comes crashing down.

I think it's a blight against our country.....it's shameful.
