100% definitely - it's very easy to get caught up not only in the joys of Christmas shopping as we all do this time of year (If only I could afford it), but it's also easy to be convinced by the HURRY MUST END SOON bobbins that gets us clamouring for the right to part with our cash. Take your time and perhaps consider other routes rather than mad dash down at the sales. Yes the deals will be good, and yes the "best stock"may go first so this is something to consider. A lot of what goes on re advertising around New Year/Spring is cleverly dressed stock clearance....
That said, what to do?? If there's easy access to a police auction it may be worth a try, check out the following URL for more cracking info and useful links - addictive stuff I imagine!

Other than then some carefully crafted googling may reveal trade price stock sold to public at lower rates than those who claim trade prices - for example (and I haven't tried this, for example's sake only): discount, furniture, warehouse, trade, resale, clearance.
Hope that's food for thought.

On furniture there is a huge markup. Wait until they have to pay tax on what they have, or are awaiting new shipments then they will run the best sales. On furniture you can offer them about 50% of the ticket price and they are still making out like bandits.

you should wait but you really need to search out what you like now so that you know if you are getting a bargain in the sales, so many sales are false and con you out of your hard earned. Dont worry too much about whether someone else will buy it before you because if it was that attractive to everyone they wouldn't need to put it in the sale would they! Happy hunting and Merry Christmas

The best bet is to pick the furniture you can afford now. Make sure it is what you want. and hide in the bushes untill it goes on sale and POUNCE! then savor your victory.
