Huge corporations have immense power already and they are getting bigger and more powerful. They shape the media, which shapes the minds of the masses. A handful of powerful media giants/corporations are able to decide how much airtime to give political parties, political decisions and they decide what we learn about as a people. Corporations are all about money, which means that politics is becoming more about money, rather than the good of the people as a whole

A democratic government is supposed to represent the people, but we now know the government often yields to the interests of these huge companies.

My question is:
How do we as a people a) wake up society to the truth and b) give control of our political destiny to the people? (How do we re-boot democracy?)

Read the history of the independence movement in India, and "The Life Of Ghandi". Nonviolent civil disobedience WORKS... as does boycott. Enough people get upset enough, things will finally change.

Unfortunately those choosing to participate will be charged by the media as being "anti government" (they will ignore the term "anti government corruption") and branded terrorists...

Do you support your family volunteering at the local church or the corporation that pays you money. Money is a necessity. You, yourself chose it to raise a family. Money is power. That is what makes this country so great and a world leader. Corporation or dictator you have the right to chose.

Truth is that regular ppl never had any power actually. To claim that is just a missunderstanding.

Anyway the ppl could eventually try to derail the government somehow: civil disobedience, riots, etc.

If they have the guts to do it.

Question asked following the Constitutional Convention: "What sort of government have you given us, sir?" Answer: "A republic, madam, if you can keep it!"
So - what's all this crap about a democracy?
