It may be uncomfortable at first, but if you have a properly fitted bra, it should not hurt. It can also depend on the style of bra you are wearing to bed. If it has a lot or hardware or 'puffy' decorations on it, you are probably getting poked by all that stuff.

Typically you should not need to wear a bra to bed. Your breasts need time to breath, stretch & relax. Keeping a bra on 24/7 does not allow this process to happen. Eventully your skin, where the bra touches can become rough, dry, and irritated.

If you have large breasts, than wearing a bra to bed may be the only way you can get a good nights sleep. If that is the case, get a good quality sleep or leasure bra. They are made from loosly woven material and allow the skin more breathting room than a regualr bra.

Another alternative is to wear a sports bra that is 1 or 2 BAND sizes larger than you normally wear. This will provide you with some support but still give your breasts some 'wiggle' room.

I don't believe wearing a bra to bed causes breast cancer as someone said. I don't believe it is bad for you either.
A good fitting bra can however help prevent gravity from taking its toll! Have you ever been measured properly for a bra? Apparently a large percentage of women wear the wrong size bra. There's both the cup size and the circumference of your chest to consider. Also if it is the type of bra you are wearing, then maybe people's suggestions of wearing a bra without underwire for bed would work for you.

Why are you even wearing a bra to bed? You'd be surprised at how much you twist in turn when you are asleep. You are not aware of it because you are some what unconscious. Loose the bra...as soon as you walk in the door and know that you are in for the rest of the night. I'm certain you will have a much better nights sleep!

I never wear a bra to bed, or in my house for the most part. I wear 2 tank tops which give me ample support. Even with going throu 3 pregnancies without wearing a bra to bed, i am not saggy.

It's usual to remove your bra before going to bed. I find mine hurts like hell after a long day.

If you have to wear a bra in bed, try putting some padding in the affected area & see if this helps.

Because in most bras, there are wires, plus the fact that you move around so much that you should wear loose fitting clothes to bed. It is not good for you to wear a bra to bed though hun, they say that for as much of the day as possible, you should avoid wearing a bra, as it helps lessen the risk of breast cancer, just another little 'help' factor I spose. I just make sure that I never wear mine to bed, because of that reason, and because its really uncomfortable. Hope this helped xxxxxxxx

Perhaps the underwire is digging into to you? I have heard that you shouldn't wear underwired bras to bed as they stop some vital blood flow or smtg-not sure how true that is, but why not try buying some cheap bras eg from Asda, take the underwire out and use them as bed bras

Probably because you're wearing the wrong bra size and by the end of the day it's really gonna hurt you.

You really shouldn't wear an underwired bra in bed, as it cuts off the circulation. Try wearing a crop top, or sports bra.
