i have virus protection and spyware protection they are
AVG antivirus
ad aware
spybot

but i just want to know if mcafee scans for spyware too so i can have an 2nd opion.

Your request is little confusing. Antivirus programs and Antispyware programs work differently. McAffey Antivirus program does just that, searches out viruses but they do have programs that search out spyware also.

no it dosent and avg is far better than mcafee just keep your antispyware updated and delete the backup files each makes or you will have a mess

My geek friend suggested nod32 Hes had no trouble since then. I got rid of a trojan with NOADWARE , did it in safe mode trojan gone. You need to purchase them though.
