I celebrated Thanksgiving with my parents in the USA every year. This year I am married and living in Poland, where they don't celebrate Thankgsgiving. It's an American holiday.

In the UK we don't celebrate Thanksgiving as such like the Americans and Canadians do...our Thanksgiving is generally around the Harvest Festival time and we don't make a song and dance about it...which is a shame really...

sorta with family, chosen ones, my daughter is with b/f in texas, mom & dad are both dead :( & most brothers, sisters, nephews, etc are a large distance away in both miles & minds i think we should not celebrate the INDIAN SLAUGHTER but at least be thankful for what love is around us & PRAY FOR PEACE IN THE WORLD

I have family, kids and rents today but for years and years was alone.
I used to plan my lonely day ritual...bottle of vodka, rented the thorn birds, I LOVED it, infact I looked forward to it...by the time that idiot ralph died my eyes were swollen and clothes were soaked....but every year it got easier and easier to watch him die!!!!!

I'm not with my family because they live 9 hours away and I have to work tomorrow. It saddens me not to be with them so I'm going to what I like to call my adoptive family's home.
