i had the ecm scanned and when the scanner was plugged in, it wouold not show no readings. please advise on what i can do to check and see why it will not allow a reading. the truck runs awesome and excellent fuel mileage. please advise on this important issue.

chances are that its an O2 sensor not a big deal, try a diffrent scan tool

the one in my car has been on for years what i did was took the bulb out that woked for me.

A communication failure between the scan tool and the diagnostic connector can be as simple as a bad wire between the diagnostic port or a bad PCM. You need a schematic to follow the wires and determine where the communication failure originates.

you were probably using a scan tool that was inferior and not cablable of reading your vehicle. Try a different scantool
Best option is a Tech 2 or a Mastertech

Remove your negative battery cable for a minute and see if that clears it up,their might not be a code.
