Hi... I have been on depo for the last year my last shot was in July 06. I come off the shot as we want a baby and would love to conceive before Christmas.(I don't know how likely that is)For the last 3 weeks i had been spotting and bleeding heavily, getting severe cramps, headaches and tiredness(but not being able to sleep at night)and my breasts have been very sore. I took a pregnancy test last week just before i went to bed and it was negative. Did I take the test at the wrong time? also i have not been vomiting but when im laying down and in the car i feel very sick(I do not suffer from car sickness usually) any advice would be appreciated thank you very much.

Take another pregnancy test during the day and see. If not then you need to go and see a gyno.

All the symptoms you described can just be pms. It can take months for your cycle to get back to normal after being on any birth control. It doesn't sound to me like you are pregnant. Also, taking a pregnancy test works best if you use it first thing in the morning as there will be a higher concentration of the chemical being tested for because there is typically more urine after a night of sleeping. As for lying down in the car and feeling sick; I'm not sure what that is but it's not a safe thing to do anywy. If you are lying down, your seatbelt will not work properly if you are in an accident.

Hi,
I had the same problem as you when coming off provera after being on it for 4 years. Your body is sorting itself out. I had those symptoms for about 3 weeks and tested negative to pregnancy tests, and in the end i got a period. Your body has been denied it's natural processes while being on depo and now it is sorting itself out, so i wouldn't worry. If you still haven't gotten a period or tested positive for pregnancy in about 3 weeks i would see your doctor and talk to him about it.
Good luck! :)

could be your body getting the depo out of your system. It could also be a miscarriage. I would take another test and see the doctor no matter what the result is. Be careful.

The only advice I have is to take the test first thing in the morning...your first pee. That is when your horomone levels are the highest. Otherwise good luck :D

It sounds like it is just your hormones out of whack, just from coming off the depo. Good luck though.

You have some pregnancy symptoms, but the bleeding heavily would make my think it may be a ectopic pregnancy. Please see your DR ASAP!!
