Britain (or Great Britain) is the largest island in the group.
England is the country that occupies most of the southern and eastern part of this island.
The United Kingdom encompasses England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
The "British Isles" include Britain (Great Britain), Ireland, the Orkney Islands, Shetland Islands, Channel Isles, Isle of Man, Inner and Outer Hebrides, etc.
This is not a dumb question. Many people worldwide use these terms interchangeably to refer to any one of these entities. Most of my friends do so, but I don't care because I usually know what they are referring to.

England is a country. Great Britain is Engalnd, Scotland and Wales put together. these are on an isle separate from Ireland. So the UK is GB plus Ireland. The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland.

I think England is just the country.. United Kingdom are the united countries ruled by the kingdom.. Wales, England, Scotland, North Ireland..something like that. and Britain is the UK and Ireland. Great Britain is the same as Britain.

hi im lyndsey from the UK! this is your lucky day! Britain is england scotland wales east anglia and ireland. england is like england! from scotland downwards. not including scotland just the english bit lol. and the UK is the united kingdom which is all of the two irelands!
