to clear things off, iPod is an mp3 player.
maybe your confuse because of its name.
it's just a mp3 player which also plays video (ipod video).
and it uses iTunes. (to put music, not drag and drop)
it comes in 3 kinds.
ipod shuffle, ipod nano and ipod video.
ipod is a product of apple and it's a very popular mp3 player.

An mp3 player is something that plays mp3s, it can be big or small, but normally when people talk of them they are referring to the small portable ones.
You can get lots of different makes of mp3 players, ranging from cheap ones with very little memory to big fancy ones which can take a lifetimes worth of songs, play videos and even games (for a psp is also an mp3 player, just to confuse you))
An ipod is an mp3 player (although i think the later ones can do a whole lot more besides just play mp3s), kind of pricey but a good machine. Check around and think about how much you want to store on it and how much you need to spend.

IPOD is the best, I think everyone knows that. IPODS play MP3s (just like MP3 players do) but also play MP4s (which are videos), hold pictures, have games, and are of predictably high quality, and are supported by Apple and Itunes.
The IPOD is an incredible invention.

I'd say iPods are better, iPod needs drivers and iTunes to work properly. MP3 players just play files you drag or copy onto there, files from the iTunes store can be played on iPod but only play on MP3 players compatible or after you convert the file type to something else.

Same thing both play music of the MP3 format, only difference is that any music you buy from iTunes can only be played on an Apple iPod and not any other make of MP3 player.

one is made my apple one is everyday. Their isn't any diff in cost depending by what they are, there are low priced and severe priced mp3 gamers. yet an iPod is a wide-spread call from apple and could be actually one of distinct countless kinds of mp3 gamers. an iPod also has the flair to play video clips, video games, and would use iTunes.

well an ipod is better because i also have an mp3 the mp3 sucks crap becuse it cant put that many songs as an ipod also you can watch movies on a ipod video so get an IPOD VIDEO

hi there, i have both ipod and mp3 players, kk lets get started :)...
IPOD - this uses the user to hold photos, music, games, calculator, calander, time and date, contacts... these are also good because they also have alot more moemory, (i have the ipod nano and its great)
MP3 player - this just allows the user to listern and store music files and play them at any point in the day, these also have alot less memory
IPOD is so much better but abit cost, but its worth it

ipod has a scroll that goes around it and the mp3 player doesn't +ipod is smaller
