I will have to agree with you though on the COMMERCIAL aspect of holiday. Greedy bunch of pigs!

i'm thankful for my daughters, my husband and my family in general...i'm thankful for my job, i'm thankful for my appartment, i'm thankful for everything i own...i'm thankful that i have the few friends that i have...i'm thankful i can't see you to slap you upside the head...don't you know that there are things that you don't normally recognize?? things in your life that you take for granted??
i hate thanksgiving for the fact that i'm 1/2 native american, and the whole holiday is blown out of perportion, things weren't all that wonderful before and after that first thanksgiving...but it's the thought of recognizing all the good things that you normally take for granted. we all need to let others know that we appreciate them, and what better way then to make them a huge feast!
cheesy, i know, but this world can be so busy...we forget to say thank you to the ones that matter the most.

I like sitting and enjoying a good meal with my family, but something always goes wrong. This is NOT my favorite holiday. Like most holidays, this one has gone a little overboard as well commercially.

I don't hate it totally. I just don't feel right having anything special without my mother and 18 yr old nephew. We lost them both, only 4 months apart. I don't feel thankful for much this year.

What's so commercial about it? All the stores are closed until tomorrow. Today is about family, food, and giving thanks...
